PZQ is grieving this week. Well maybe he has been grieving for a while and we didn't realize it. We recieved some pictures from his orphange and he saw his Ye Ye holding a baby. That upset him greatly and he asked "Why my Ye Ye got that baby?" He has been very cranky and has told us a number of times that he doesn't like us. He doesn't say it meanly or out of anger, he says it very matter a fact. Yesterday on the way to school he said "I go home to Tem Boa Boa now. I don't like you and like Tem Boa Boa." That broke my heart. He misses "Sara" so much.
Some one said to me "Really, he would want to go back?" I think people need to stop and think and realize that this small boy has given up everything, his orphanage family, food, culture, day to day life, language to come here. And I know that here is the place he belongs, that doesn't mean he isn't home sick.
PZQ will also ask "You like me?" And I tell him "I love him very much!!" That always make him smile. When he says he doesn't like us, I also tell him that is okay. He has a life time to like us and that I love him no matter what. And that usually turns his "I don't likes" into "I like".
Please think of the struggles my littlest man is going through.

Support Epidermolysis Bullosa Research
PZQ has a mild form of EB. We are very lucky. Some children with disease have to be feed through a feeding tube and are covered with painful blisters at the slightest touch, even their clothing. Some die from infection from the sores. Because his case is mild, it has taken lots of research and soul searching to accept that this is what is wrong with PZQ. I have decided to accept it and try to help those who aren't so lucky.
Courntey Cox (from Friends) and her husband David Arquette have designed a jewelry line and the proceeds are going to EB research. Some one close to them suffers from this disorder. Please take the time to have a look at the jewelry http://www.satyajewelry.com/catalog/view_all.php?cPath=115_159 . It is really nice and could make any one a great Christmas gift!!

Peng Zheng Qi and Birthdays
PZQ has been to a couple of birthday parties lately and is starting to put two and two together. He knows that everyone sings for you and that there is cake. The other day we were on our way to pick Fenway up from school and he asked "PZQ a party a Grandmom's house?" I said "You want a party and Grandmom's house?"
PZQ - A PZQ party with ICA CRREAM and birthday to you!!!
Me - You want a birthday party
PZQ - PZQ a birthday party
Me - Your birthday isn't for a long time but we are going to a party for Granddad and there will be ice cream cake.
PZQ -PZQ a party with ICA CRREAM!!
So I posted this conversation on facebook and a couple of very smart mother's replied. My friend Kim says they have 6 month birthday parties with just cake. But then my friend Julie posted this
"Oh Jocelyn give him a party to celebrate all the birthdays you missed with him. Get him a present for every missed year! Now you know why my kids are spoiled!"
Julie has three wonderful kids and she reminded me that we can't spoil our kids with too much love. So now I am planning to have some sort of Birthday party for PZQ, I think there will be lots of ICA CRREAM!!! Thanks Julie!! If you want to know more about Julie you can follow her blog, http://straightfromtheheart.typepad.com/my_weblog/ .

Bye Bye Clutter, I hope!
I know this picture is dark but it is of the dreaded hall closet. For years I didn't know what to do with it. I took the door off years ago because it just got in the way but then I was left with a cluttered mess that you couldn't hang a coat in our find a pair of shoes. So what is a girl to do but get rid of it!! And that is exactly what I did!!
It wasn't easy work but it was worth it. I got rid of the closet okay but then I was left with the electrical. So I put a call out to some friends and my friend Kim has a cousin who just became and electrician so he came over on Friday night and worked on it for us!! I had never put up dry wall but with some googllng and determination I got it done. I still need to fix a piece of tile that is missing in the floor and we need new trim up around the door but I love the finished product!!
Today Fenway came in from school and hung up her coat and backpack and put her shoes up on the shelf and then a second miracle occurred and Devin hung up his coat and put his backpack on the floor where it belongs!! I am in love with my "Faux Mud room" . I am still debating if I should put some more shelves above the kids stuff.
My next project is now under way and it is moving Devin to the basement, the little kids into his room and Shawn's office into the little kids room. This is a long and lenghty process as I need to find a home for all my scrapbooking stuff and the weed out stuff we don't need. But it will be good in the long run. Fenway and PZQ's room is way too small and we have a living room jam packed with toys to prove it.

The Climb!!
Okay you are all going to think I am sappy but this song speaks volumes to me. It came out when we were waiting to go get Peng Zheng Qi and thinks got delayed. Some days it kept me going and some days I cried all the way through.
As fate would have it Fenway and PZQ love to watch the Hannah Montana movie that this song is from. Every time it comes on Fenway yells "Mom, your favorite part is on!!" And the two of them sit there and sing it. Not really understanding what the words mean. I cry when I see PZQ sing it. Does he realize how much of a climb his life has been? Will he remember the climb he had to get to us? I cry too, because we had to keep our faith in dark hours and we did.
And that climb, though at times it seemed unbearable, was so worth every step. Lately I can not get enough of that small boy. If you read back you know I had a hard time in the beginning. But that has long gone. We were blessed to climb for PZQ!!
